Ewen Chia is a well respected internet marketer. He specialises in affiliate marketing, and is usually the most successful affiliate in any promotion he takes part in. He’s not doing so much affiliate marketing these days because he’s concentrating on teaching people how to replicate his success and avoid newbie traps.

The book “How I Made My First Million on the Internet” is basically an internet marketing handbook told through his autobiography. The book is divided into two parts: the first is “My Story and Yours” and gives a brief overview of internet marketing, how he got into the business, the journey he took to become successful, basic lessons he learned, why he believes internet marketing is the easiest business to start, the tools he believes are crucial to success and his “fab five”, which are the fundamental parts of a successful online business. This part goes for about 50 pages.

The second part takes up just over 200 pages and is the “Million Dollar Blueprint”. This is the meat of the book. The Million Dollar Blueprint is an in-depth explanation of the “fab five” fundamental elements to success. If you are an experienced marketer, you can afford to skip forward to this part as I believe this part alone is worth many times the cost of the book. Beginners shouldn’t skip the first part or they’ll miss the point of the second part.
The Million Dollar Blueprint covers finding a market (which Ewen makes as targeted as possible), presenting the right offer to the right people, finding targeted traffic and driving that to your offer, boosting your traffic, creating a successful backend and duplicating your business model.

Who is the book for?

This book is essentially for people new to affiliate marketing. While elements will help people in, say ecommerce stores, it is really targeted to new affiliate marketers. “New” being anyone who isn’t successful at affiliate marketing yet, but who wants to be. Even if you’ve been doing affiliate marketing for a while, if you aren’t pulling in at least high 5 figures per year net, this book is for you. I wish this book had been available when I started years ago – it would have saved me so much time and wasted opportunities.

Strengths & Weaknesses

If you are specifically looking for an internet business model on anything other than affiliate marketing, don’t get this book. While Ewen Chia is one of the most successful affiliate marketers ever, he doesn’t have much experience in other business models. That being said, he’s not kept anything back in this book and anyone new to internet marketing who isn’t looking at affiliate marketing should seriously reconsider their choice. It is the easiest, cheapest and quickest way to success online, without the headache of dealing with customers, refunds, etc. If you’re not sure, this book is for you.

Should You Buy?

Million Dollar Blueprint fills in the blanks to your online success in a way and to a level that not many programs do. It is a comprehensive look at the foundations to success. Basically, if you employed a business consultant to look at your business to tell you what you were missing, he or she would be asking the same questions that Ewen Chia gets you to think about in this book. Implementing the fundamentals that this book teaches is a guaranteed path to success. Why reinvent the wheel? Just implement the model used by one of the most successful affiliate marketers out there.
